Bookings are made as a group. Your Explorer Unit, District contingent or other organised Scout group should complete one registration covering the Explorers and adults attending together.

Unfortunately, we're unable to guarantee reductions or refunds once your booking has been confirmed. We understand that plans can change, so if you need to reduce your numbers, please get in touch as soon as possible.
Where possible, we'll work with you to try to reallocate any unwanted places to another group before the booking amendment deadline. However, this depends on demand and cannot be guaranteed.
We recommend booking for the numbers you're confident will attend, then adding more places later if availability allows.
When does registration close?
Registration is open now. We’ll publish the final booking deadline once confirmed, but places may be subject to capacity, so groups shouldn’t leave it too late.

This amount is payable upon booking to confirm your place.
What does the price include?
Your event fee covers participation in UNLEASHED and access to the 25-hour programme. Groups are responsible for their own catering, although food will also be available to purchase on site.

After registering, your group will be invoiced for its booking, with payment made by bank transfer.
CAMPING & ARRIVAL
When can we arrive?
Most groups will arrive on Friday evening, giving you time to pitch camp, get settled and be ready for the programme. If Friday doesn’t work for your group, Saturday morning arrival will also be possible.
What time does the programme start?
The 25-hour programme starts at 09:00 on Saturday, so Saturday arrivals will need to be on site, set up and ready before then.
Do we camp for the whole weekend?
Yes. Your campsite is your group’s base throughout UNLEASHED, from arrival until you leave on Sunday.
Can participants sleep during the 25 hours?
Absolutely. The programme keeps going overnight, but that doesn’t mean everyone has to! Your camp remains available for anyone who wants to sleep, rest or recharge.
The camping area will be designated a quiet zone from 11:30pm until 07:00am to allow for anyone wishing to sleep.

When will the full programme be announced?
We’ll reveal more activities and programme details as we get closer to UNLEASHED. Keep an eye on the website and our social channels for announcements.
VOLUNTEERING
Can I volunteer at UNLEASHED?
Yes! UNLEASHED needs a big team of adults to help plan, build and deliver the weekend. There’ll be roles across programme, activities, entertainment, site operations, camping, welfare and more.
Do I need to already be a Scout volunteer?
No. Most of our team will already be involved in Scouts, but that isn’t essential. If there’s a suitable role for you, we can help you through the process of getting involved as a Scout volunteer.
We are also pleased to welcome Girlguiding volunteers.
Do I need any particular skills or qualifications?
Not for every role. Some activities and specialist roles will need particular skills or qualifications, but there are plenty of roles where enthusiasm and a willingness to get stuck in are what matter.
Can I help with the planning before the event?
Absolutely. We need volunteers before the weekend as well as at the event itself, including people who can help plan areas of UNLEASHED and lead teams.
Do I have to volunteer for the whole weekend?
Not necessarily. We’ll need help at different points before, during and after the event and will match people to roles based on their availability and where support is needed.
How do I volunteer?
Head to our Volunteer page and complete the volunteer form to tell us a little about yourself, what you’d like to help with and when you’re available.
SAFETY, WELFARE & ACCESSIBILITY
How will safety and welfare be managed at UNLEASHED?
UNLEASHED will be run in line with Scouts’ policies and procedures, with dedicated teams supporting safety and welfare throughout the weekend.

Explorers remain part of their attending Unit or group throughout the weekend, with their accompanying adult volunteers responsible for their usual care and supervision.
Will first aid be available?
Yes. First aid provision will be available throughout the event, with details of how to access support included in the joining information.
What if a Participant needs additional support?
We want UNLEASHED to be as accessible and inclusive as possible. Groups should tell us about any additional needs or reasonable adjustments when booking so we can work with you ahead of the event.
Will activities be accessible to everyone?
Activities will have different physical and practical requirements. We’ll provide more information as the programme is announced and work with groups where reasonable adjustments may be needed.
What happens if someone needs support during the night?
There will be adult volunteers and event support available throughout the overnight programme, including welfare support when needed.
Who should we contact about a specific accessibility or welfare requirement?
Please contact the UNLEASHED team before the event if you’d like to discuss a particular requirement. We’d much rather have that conversation in advance so we can understand what support may be needed.
